Job Title: Training Coordinator

Department: Support Team
Reports to: Dawn Habada Albanese, Vice President

  • Status: W-2 Hourly
  • Hours: 30 hours weekly to start
  • Pay Range: $20-$25 per hour starting pay
  • PTO: 2 weeks paid vacation after 90 days, accrued at approximately 1 day per month with approval from supervisor 30+ days in advance 
  • Availability (Eastern Time): Combination of Mon-Thurs business hours 9am-5pm; +2 flex evenings/weekends (Tues/Thurs/Sat); 2 days off weekly
  • Hybrid Position: New Haven Office Mon / Wed; Remote Tues / Thurs / Sat
  • Growth Potential: full-time potential dependent on performance & staffing needs
  • Benefits: Medical benefits offered at 25+ hours
  • Training Period: The Training / Welcome Coordinator will be provided an approximate 1 month training period. Training will be scheduled with members of the support team. Additional self-guided training assignments may be provided.

Main Responsibilities

  • Au pair school administrative tasks and communications
  • Compliance of Au pair training requirements
  • Co-teach AP school 1-2 x monthly Wed, Thurs, Sat (15 teaching hours total per session)
  • Placement support for new au pairs
  • Arrival compliance reports
  • Pre-qualify LC applicants for interview with LC Hiring Manager
  • Manage LC initial training process
  • Facilitate smooth LC transitions and customer service
  • Co-moderate WhatsApp group, answer FAQ,
  • Ongoing LC training needs
  • Monthly LC virtual observations for quality and training purposes (2-4 per month)

 

Based on candidate skills and qualifications, additional tasks may also include:

  • Placement support / customer service as needed
  • Remote / temp LC coverage
  • Flex work and projects as assigned by supervisor

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • College degree preferred; Alternatively professional development may apply
  • Expert au pair program knowledge or 6+ months in LC role, previous program experience, or willingness to master program info quickly and independently
  • Experience in fields of education, child care, cultural exchange, travel, customer service preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills- fluent in English, bilingual a plus
  • Tech and social media savvy- ability to self-learn Microsoft Outlook, Google Apps, WhatsApp, Canva Pro, Zoom, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc; training provided for Saleslogix CRM platform and Thinkific
  • Ability to work independently; Self-starter who takes initiative
  • Strong problem solving
