1. Register and Create Account
Choose the Au Pair Program that meets the needs of your family. Complete our online application at no cost or obligation. Once your application and supporting documents have been submitted, your matching process can begin.
2. Choosing your Au Pair
Once your host family application is complete, Agent Au Pair assigns a placement manager who will work with you closely and assist you throughout the process. The placement manager is there to collaborate with your family, and evaluate specific needs and criteria to help search our database for the perfect au pair. After an au pair that fits your family’s criteria has been identified, host families have the opportunity to contact the au pair via email and set up a Skype/WhatsApp video call if they are interested in further contact.
Once a match has been made, select the arrival date that fits your family. We offer two arrival date options per month. Be aware that the visa application process varies in length from au pair to au pair.
3. Pre-Arrival and Au Pair Orientation
After you have matched with an au pair, our Local Coordinator in your area will conduct an in-home visit and interview. After your au pair arrives in the US, they will have a multi-day orientation covering CPR and First Aid training, child development and safety, and American culture and norms. Further information on au pair training can be found here.
4. Welcoming your Au Pair
After Au Pair Orientation, your au pair will arrive at your home. Your Local Coordinator will check in with both the family and au pair within 48 hours of arrival to confirm arrival went smoothly and will conduct an assessment 2 weeks into the placement.- Your Local Coordinator is available throughout the year to provide support to both au pairs and families.
