Luz hails from Bogotá, Colombia, where she obtained her degree in nursing. Following her graduation, she initially took on a role as a bookkeeper; however, she was eager to learn English and explore life in the United States. Driven by the desire to immerse herself in a different culture, Luz became an au pair, living with a wonderful family in Atlanta, Georgia and providing childcare to their 3 children.

Since her au pair days, Luz has gained a variety of experiences as a nanny, Spanish tutor, and local coordinator for Agent Au Pair. Among her favorite travel destinations are Turkey and Italy. Luz resides in Rochester, New York, with her husband and their two schnauzers.
