Host Family and Au Pair of the Year Contest

Agent Au Pair is thrilled to announce an exciting twist to our annual Host Family and Au Pair of the Year contests. This year, we’re celebrating teamwork, shared experiences, and mutual growth by having host families and au pairs submit their entries together—and win together!

Every successful placement is a partnership. It’s about au pairs and host families working together, sharing traditions, and creating unforgettable memories. To honor this unique bond, we’re inviting you to share your story as a team.

The deadline to enter is Wednesday, April 9, 2025.

How the Contest Works

  • One Submission Per Placement
    Each placement (host family and au pair) will submit one combined entry. Both the host family and the au pair must contribute to the submission. In the section below, you will find some topics that can help guide your submission.
  • Submission Format
    We highly encourage video submissions, but we will also accept written submissions this year.
  • Photos
    Include at least five photos, with at least one featuring your entire family and au pair together.
    • Host Parent must complete the photo/video release form for your children
  • Eligibility
    To enter, au pairs must have spent at least two months in the host family’s home during the 2024 calendar year.
Submission Topic Ideas

Host parents and au pairs, choose one or more of the following topics to guide your submission:

  • What is your favorite thing about your host family/au pair?
  • What’s one tradition you’ve enjoyed participating in together?
  • What is your favorite part of the au pair program?
  • How has your host family/au pair shared their culture with you?
  • What’s your favorite memory with your host family?
  • How does your host family make you feel like part of the family?
  • How did you share your holiday traditions with your au pair?

For Host Kids:

  • What is your favorite thing to do with your au pair?
  • What do you love most about your au pair?
  • If your au pair was a superhero, what would their superpower be?

Prizes

Winner
  • Host Family: $250 cash prize or $500 discount on your next program
  • Au Pair: $250 gift card or an Apple Watch
  • A certificate from Agent Au Pair
  • Recognition on our website and social media
Runner Up
  • Host Family: $100 cash prize or $250 discount on your next program
  • Au Pair: $100 gift card
  • A certificate from Agent Au Pair
  • Recognition on our website and social media

The winners may be asked for follow up information and/or for additional photos.
