Information Regarding the Coronavirus

We understand there are questions regarding exchange participant travel and participation given the new coronavirus (COVID-19). We encourage everyone to stay informed about protecting themselves and others from illnesses. Useful resources include Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and U.S. Department of State.

 

Recommendations for practicing everyday prevention measures include “frequent hand washing, staying home when sick, and covering coughs and sneezes.” For more protective measures against the COVID-19, please visit The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Stephanie is a 22 year old from Germany who speaks German and English. She has experience caring for children between the ages of 1 through 6 years old. She has been an au pair in the UK for 3 months. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys going to the gym, listening to music, and cooking.

Vanessa is a 25 year old from Mexico who speaks Spanish and English. She has experience caring for children between the ages of 1 through 15 years old. She has had her driver’s license since February 2013. In her spare time, Vanessa enjoys dancing, cooking, reading, and watching movies.

Leticia is a 26 year old from Paraguay who speaks Spanish, English, and Portuguese. She has experience caring for children between the ages of newborn through 10 years old. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. In her spare time, Leticia enjoys dancing, being outdoors, and watching TV.

Featured Monthly Meeting

We decided to do a yoga class so we could relax and stretch our muscles. The class was great- a perfect choice for us beginners! After class we got coffee and a snack so we could chat more. It was a great morning!

 

Showing yourself what you’re capable of – and sharing that with others

I was able to truly get to know myself, get more confident, and get out of my comfort zone. The Au Pair experience is not only about travel and childcare, it opens your mind and shows you what you are capable of.

At first I planned to stay only one year, but loved the family so much that I decided to extend another year. Even after 2 years, at the end of my contract, I was still considered as a family member.

I am a global nomad, although I have been calling Tampa, FL, home for the past six years. I joined Agent AuPair in January 2019 and was very excited to help both the au pairs and the local families. It’s been an incredible experience and I am happy to see the program grow so quickly.
