Host Family of the Year

πŸ₯‡ The Manthei Family

Our first call was in December 2022, following this call, I immediately felt an inexplicable feeling, as if I had known them for years. We laughed so much, we discovered enormous things in common, we communicated every day via WhatsApp, as if I was already part of their family. I immediately liked them. I was lucky to have been chosen among other girls who would have liked to be in my place.

Lauren and Adam have two boys, aged 3 years and 7 months, I love them so much. I consider them my little brothers and consider me their big sister. In 5 months, I had the chance to travel with them, discover their culture, their habits, meet their family, their friends. I was also able to teach them my culture, French culture, which they greatly appreciate. I also cook them typically French dishes, teach them the language, and that is priceless.

I met my host family two years ago, we couldn’t match in that moment for visa appointment issues but we stayed in contact because of the chemistry we felt since the first interview. We didn’t imagine we would have the chance to match one year after that, for my extension year, and I just can say it’s the best thing ever happened to me during my participation in the Au Pair program.

I don’t have enough words to describe how grateful I feel for the Miller Family. They’re definitely a family that is going to let you have the best experience as Au Pair.

πŸ₯‰The Enright Family

It is difficult to start writing about a family that in less than a year became your second family. With Jamie and Adam we felt the perfect connection from the moment we had our first conversation… it was impossible to stop talking since we learned about our existence!

I arrived on January 4, there they were waiting for me with a sign “Welcome Mica” Jamie managed to recognize me, she scream my name and we ran to merge into a beautiful hug, ugh everything I felt at that moment was inexplicable
