Expiration of Presidential Proclamation 10052

On June 22, 2020 President Trump signed legislation that temporarily suspended many visa programs in the US including the Au Pair J-1 Visa Program until December 31, 2020.

  • Presidential Proclamation 10052, which temporarily suspended the entry of certain H-1B, H-2B, J (for certain categories within the Exchange Visitor Program).
  • Proclamation 10014 suspended Entry of Immigrants Who Present a Risk to the United States Labor Market During the Economic Recovery Following the 2019 Novel Coronavirus Outbreak.

On December 31, 2020, President Trump issued Proclamation 10131 continuing Proclamations 10014 and 10052 through March 31, 2021.
