Presidential Proclamation

President Biden rescinded Presidential Proclamation 10014 effective March 31, 2021. Embassies are currently trying to catch up on the backlog of appointments that have been delayed due to COVID-19 and the Proclamation.

We understand that many families are experiencing delays in flights and embassy appointments. Agent Au Pair is constantly monitoring the situation and doing everything we can to continue moving forward. The current time frame for au pairs to arrive after matching is at least 8 – 10 weeks depending on the availability of embassy appointments.

Packages from Home

Hello, my name is Ale Luna, I’m from Mexico and Now I live with my Host Family in Kentucky. Almost 7 months after being in Kentucky, my mom sent me a box of Mexican things for my Host Family.

I was very excited when I saw the box because it feels like a hug from mom no matter the distance made me feel very close to her.

Creating a Community

Do you have friends or family that are interested in the au pair program? Agent Au Pair offers an incentive to refer them! If you refer a family, you can receive $500 off your next program cost or $250 cash.

Au Pairs need to be in the home for 60 days and successfully complete the 60 day transition phase. Make sure the family mentions you as a referral when they fill out their application!

It’s Tax Season

Agent Au Pair advises that all au pairs speak with a tax professional or directly with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to discuss specific tax information as tax laws differ in every state.

We have provided general tax information from the IRS and useful links to help host families and au pairs to complete their taxes in the ‘Tax Information’ section in the portals:

Featured Local Rep

Cynthia from MD

A good friend told me about her work with Agent Au Pair, and I signed right up! I have a masters degree in early childhood education, with a special education add on, and I have loved sharing my knowledge with the families and Au Pairs I have worked with in the last two years. It has been fun to meet young women from all over the world and to learn along with them how different our cultures can be! I also really enjoy sharing the American Culture with others-and living in Maryland so close to D.C. has made it even more fun with my Au Pairs!
