Agent Au Pair is an award winning U.S. Department of State Designated Au Pair Program that promotes educational and cultural exchange.
Your Presence, Your Power, Your Program
Being an au pair already means navigating a new country, culture, language, and family dynamic. We recognize that the current conversations and news surrounding immigration may feel unsettling. Even when nothing about your individual program or status has changed, the constant attention on immigration can create added stress, uncertainty, and worry, especially when you are far from home. Carrying additional concern on top of that can feel overwhelming at times, and those feelings are completely valid.
Please know that you are a valued and important part of this program, not only for the care and dedication you give to your host families, but for who you are as a person. Your presence matters, and your well-being matters.
We want you to know that you have support.
Our team is here to answer questions, provide clarification, and offer guidance whenever you need it. If something you see or hear raises concerns, or if you simply need reassurance, we encourage you to reach out. You do not have to navigate uncertainty on your own.
And The Winner Is…
We want to thank all of the families who took the time to nominate their au pair for our Au Pair of the Year contest! Your stories do more than just highlight the dedication, care, and the positive influence of your au pair in your home, they shine a light on the true meaning of our program. These nominations celebrate the power of cultural exchange and the deep, lasting connections formed between families and au pairs.

Getting to know US Culture
As we have learned from Part 1 of this blog post where we talked about sharing your own culture, cultural exchange is defined as the exchange of cultural knowledge, customs, ideas, social behavior and experiences between people from different backgrounds (heritage, ethnicity or religion). As the word ‘exchange’ suggests, cultural exchange is a two-way street and needs both sides to be open to learn, understand, question and accept other views, opinions and customs.
