Becoming an au pair was probably one of the hardest and best decisions I’ve ever made. Going to a foreign country, speaking a new language, making new friends and working in a host family can be challenging, but for me it is totally worth it. In my opinion my new friends and traveling are the best parts of the experience.
I’m so grateful that I could explore so much in so little time! If you like traveling –
go for it and make some plans with your friends or go alone. I know that going alone may sound scary to you, but going out of your comfort zone is part of the adventure. Just do it and those memories will last forever!

Au Pair Volunteering Opportunity |
The
U.S. State Department has invited our au pairs to volunteer at the NYC
Marathon, to be held this year on Sunday, November 3, 2019. This is a
unique opportunity to experience the American value of volunteerism with
the added thrill of watching and cheering 50,000 runners from 120
countries!
“Fluid station” volunteers at the NYC Marathon assist with setup,
